About Me

Hi, I’m Mike Dowdell. I’m an award winning artist from Youngstown, Ohio. Currently residing in the Cleveland area. Tattooing out of 7inks Tattoo Co. in Mentor, Ohio. I have been tattooing for 10 years. When I started off, I was somewhat of a flash artist. Wanting more, I developed my skills as an artist to create my own new school style. I soon after fell in love with the new trend of realism/surrealism.

The styles and tattoos I had been seeing sweep social media intrigued my interest in learning more realistic techniques. I always thought I would develop certain skills and take them back to my new school tattoos. But luckily enough, clients and friends have kept me very busy with just focusing on realism/surrealism. And I’ve had the privilege to focus on making that my style. I still very much like to tattoo in different styles such as neo-traditional and new school.

I have a new found love for oil painting and woodwork. But tattooing will always come first. I’m constantly trying to better myself to give you the best artwork I can. Thank you for reading a bit about myself. I look forward to hearing from you about your ideas and working with you!
